Hometown: Chicago, IL
Position: Pilot
With AIM AIR since: 1985
Bio:
Prior to coming to Africa, I was a corporate pilot for an investment company in the Chicago area. In 1985 a friend of mine who was in Africa called me and asked if we might come out to fly with AIM AIR. My wife and I considered reasons for staying in the States and couldn’t come up with any reasons that would make sense 100 years down the road, so we packed up and left the USA.
We arrived in Kenya with a one year old daughter and were blessed with two more daughters along the way. While I have been enjoying the privilege of flying as a pilot with AIM AIR, my wife Bev has enjoyed being involved in women’s Bible studies, leading worship at our local church and helping to run a prison ministry at the women’s prison in Nairobi.
Favorite aspect of being an AIM AIR pilot: the special privilege of seeing God’s hand at work in this area of the world. Hebrews 11 speaks of “…people of faith of whom the world is not worthy.” I get to fly these people around every week!
