Notes From the Field

Every once in a while we receive notes from the missionary heroes we support. As we see AIM AIR’s role through their eyes, it transforms into something inspirational to all of us on the team. Many members of AIM AIR dedicate their heart and soul to long hours on the maintenance floor, in an office, or bouncing from one airstrip to the other. These little notes become golden inspiration for every one of us at AIM AIR, reminding us of why we are here, who we are here for, and how blessed we are to be a part of God’s work in East Africa. I hope you enjoy them as much as we do.

If you have a note you would like to share, please send it to publicrelations@aimair.org.

Dear friends at AIM AIR,

I hope this find you doing very well.  I am simply writing to update you about our family situation in the upper Nile area, in case of emergency.

Currently my wife is 7 months pregnant with our first child.  We are so grateful that everything has been very healthy and normal so far.  If everything goes as planned, we will make our way to Nairobi in late March to have the baby (it’s estimated due date is April 24th).  However, if we run into serious complications, early labor, etc., we may call you to pick us up from our airstrip and help us get to Nairobi quickly.  I just want you to be aware of our situation, so you would be too surpirsed if you received an emergency call from us in the next 4 or 5 weeks.  It would just be the two of us, with minimal luggage, so the 206 should be sufficient.  Do you still have a 206 and Caravan stationed in Loki?  Please let me know.  Again, we don’t anticipate any problems, but we are so glad to know that you are “nearby”.  Thanks again for all that you do.  We are truly grateful for your service.
