Carpenter, Tim and Deb

Tim is a ‘87 LeTourneau University graduate. After some short-term work with MAF, he fell in love with Debra, an AIM-MK nurse born in Tanzania, and they joined forces. Taking their 6mo. Old son to Quebec, they learned some French before landing in Nairobi Oct. ’94. Since that time they have been based in Bunia, DRC / Mwanza, TZ / Gatab, KE / Nairobi and most recently, Entebbe, Uganda. Tim has served as a C206/210 Pilot-mechanic in each of those locations but has also helped with scheduling and administration. Deb is home-schooling 1 boy and 2 girls, and their oldest boy is in 8th grade at RVA. The Carpenters enjoy being based outside of the Nairobi hub, however they are currently stationed in Nairobi so Tim is able to assist on the hangar floor as a mechanic.

Jon is a fourth generation AIM missionary, and felt called to be a missionary pilot from a very young age.  After attending Moody Aviation, Jon first came to Kenya with AIM AIR in 2000.  After two years he returned to the USA and married Ginny, and they returned to the field in 2004 with newborn son, Josiah, in 2004.  Jon and Ginny are now based at Lokichoggio, in far northwestern Kenya, on the border with Sudan. Jon’s flying is almost exclusively in support of missionary and Christian relief efforts in South Sudan. In addition to flying they purchase supplies, forward freight and mail, and host Sudan based missionaries in transit through ‘Loki’.

Jerry and Breanna Hurd
New with AIM AIR in 2008. Jerry grew up in Papua New Guinea with a lifelong desire to be a missionary pilot. Breanna grew up in Washington and Costa Rica knowing she would be a teacher. The Weeks have 3 children and 2 grand children.  "We are so happy that God has called us to serve here in East Africa with AIM AIR." Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.  Matthew 9:38 NKJ
