Our present avionics shop configuration has served well in meeting the avionics and electronic repair needs of AIM and other missions since it opened in 1982. The increase in the number of individuals in the shop, increased equipment required to repair today's electronic items, the need for separation between different types of repair operations, the need to replace aging furnishings, and the need to meet the regulatory requirements of aviation authorities, have precipitated the need for a redesign of our shop facilities. Our goal has been to produce a design that will serve AIM AIR and AIM well into the future.
This project involves removing all the existing Radio Base furnishings (work benches, storage units, office furniture) and installing newly constructed furnishings. New furnishings are to be built and installed according to a new design which maximizes the utilization of space.
Project need: $10,000
