Lokichoggio Base - Kenya
Set on the southern border of Sudan, Loki airport is the launching point for ministry into this war-torn country and other destinations north of Kenya. Already, more than half of all our flight operations move through this strategic town. AIM AIR currently has two aircraft based at Lokichoggio, and at least three pilots moving continuously to meet the expanding flight requests. Our present, makeshift operations are difficult due to the harsh climate and complicated logistics at this location, and will remain limited by the lack of necessary infrastructure to support our critical ministry to those we serve.
Project Details
This project will build a suitable structure able to hangar a Cessna Caravan and a Cessna 206. It will also provide office space for AIM AIR’s Loki program, storage space, and the basic tooling needed for complex maintenance of our aircraft to take place. AIM AIR’s central maintenance facility is 365 miles away in Nairobi. An on-site facility will greatly reduce the time and money expended keeping these aircraft dispatch-ready. The new Loki hangar will enhance AIM AIR’s ministry into Sudan, and beyond, by streamlining our operations, reducing cost, and allowing for the growth of personnel and aircraft.
